Per Second Billing

Unlike some of our competitors we will only bill you for the time you spend on the call. This is done by billing on a per second basis rather than rounding calls to the nearest whole minute. It is one of many ways we want to ensure our billing is as clear
and simple as possible.

Keep the Same Phone Number One of the myths associated to moving away from BT is that you will lose your phone number.

No Minimum Call Spend
We do not force any of our customers to reach minimum call committments. This means that both residential and business talk customers can benefit from our low cost calls no matter how large or small your phone bill is. Businesses may not realise that penalty charges maybe being applied to their bills owing to failed spend commitments, but not with us!

Billing & Control Panel
All invoices and itemised bills are available for download at anytime, from any place, using our own in-house designed control panel. We operate a paperless office and are proud of our achievements. This is provided to call customers at no extra charge. A recent development now allows you to view the calls made the previous day.
Every 24 hours we will update and allow you to review calls and their associated costs.

Call Interrogation and Statistics
All Bluemast customers have access to a powerful search facility which allows them to pull off very specific information about the calls made from their accounts. It is a facility which is provided completely free of charge.

Outbond SMS texts
Our SMS platform really puts your clients in the driving seat, giving you access to a range of very powerful solutions to make the sending of bulk messages very easy. SMS gives you a new way of communicating simple messages to your clients in a very targeted and cheap marketing medium. Multiple Originator Names Users can benefit from the ability of sending messages branded with their own name. For example a company with the name of Dentist Limited could have messages appearing on their clients phone with the sender name of DENTIST up to a maximum of 11 characters.

Leased lines

Leased lines provide your business with a dedicated fibre connection to the Internet and deliver the ultimate in broadband connectivity. They are not shared or contended with the Bluemast or other ISP network ensuring you get consistently fast broadband connection all day, every day. As well as offering 1:1 contention the speeds are symmetrical, so unlike with ADSL or FTTx the upstream and download speeds are the same. This can open up options to use your connections for more applications. As well as delivering consistent high speed connectivity, these lines are with a full service level agreement. This helps safeguard against the unexpected and ensures swift guaranteed action from Bluemast and BTopenreach Failure to deliver within service agreements results in compensation being applied.

Speeds / Bandwidth
1Mbps – 10Gbps
By delivering a larger bearer you give yourself room to grow should your bandwidth needs change. We can deliver bearers 40Mbps, 100Mbps, 500Mbps, 1Gbps and 10Gbps.

Scaleable
We can deliver a variety of bandwidth solutions to meet your needs. For example, we could deliver a bearer of 100Mbps and commit the bandwidth to 10Mbps initially.

1:1 Non-Contended The bandwidth supplied is not shared with anyone on the Bluemast or BT network. As such you won’t see any fluctuations in speed other than what is being consumed by your workers.

Service  4 Hour Fix 24 hours a day 365 days a year In the unlikely event of a failure on your line we will provide on-site assistance, around the clock, with a 4 hour fix aim.

Static IPv6 As standard we can supply your connection with a 48 allocation offering countless IP addresses for you to use.

Monitoring Included
We proactively monitor your connection and will be available around the clock to offer support in the event of failure.

Voip

voice of IP (Voip)

What is VoIP ? This is a great way to make and receive calls over your Broadband line using a normal telephone.

Your voice is transmitted across the internet connection just like any other file or email. When it gets to the other end, it’s turned back into its original sound like a normal phone call. Only a small amount of your broadband bandwidth is used to make these “Internet calls”Why use VoIP

It’s a great way to make cheaper calls, free up your normal telephone line. So get your staff using it and it won’t cost you a penny for calls between staff or sites.

Feature

Benefit from either one or two extra lines without the outlay or hassle of getting new physical lines installed

Fantastic capped calling rates to local and national UK landlines, mobiles and international numbers.

An extra phone line available could make it easier for callers to reach you or assure them a faster response from your business

Make your business look bigger with geographic numbers available at a small extra charge. With one or more out of area geographic numbers you can make your business look local in as many parts of the UK as you want.

Benefit from an inclusive range of calling features to help you manage your business more effectively, including Call Waiting, Caller Display, Answer 1571 and Outgoing Call Barring. Includes web based management giving you greater control

What devices can I use to make and receive calls?

One of the benefits of our VoIP services is their flexibility. Our services are Session Initiation Protocol (“SIP”) based and can therefore be configured to any SIP device. There are three options:

1. Analogue Terminal Adaptor (ATA)
This is a device that you can purchase to enable VoIP calling from your existing standard (non-IP) telephone handset. An ATA is an adaptor that connects conventional telephone handsets to the customer’s broadband router. When correctly configured, all outgoing and incoming calls made from your existing standard telephone handsets are routed over your VoIP account.

2. IP Telephone Handset
This is a device that replaces your existing standard (non-IP) telephone handset. The IP phone directly connects to your broadband router and can be configured to make/receive calls through their VoIP account. The IP phone offers a more user-friendly way to access certain call features such as voicemail, as it normally has function keys on the telephone keypad.

3. Software Phones
If you do not wish to invest in an IP device, a PC-based software phone can be downloaded free of charge from various web sites. However, this is not a recommended method as there are many factors which could affect the call quality that are outside of our control. For example, your PC’s sound card quality, the PC microphone sound quality etc.
How do I configure a hardware device?

The SIP configuration details that are required for your IT department to configure a SIP device are set out in Appendix 2. Our support team will gladly assist you with these; but there is such a range of hardware available we will not advise on hardware specific issues.

5. Can I transfer my existing telephone numbers to the VoIP platform?

Yes, if you have working BT telephone numbers that you wish to retain, we can support the number porting from BT to our VoIP service. No other providers are supported. This process typically takes at least 15 working days and regrettably there is no guaranteed lead-time. Should you wish to port a BT number over to us, we can supply a Number Porting Request Form.

This is a chargeable service and the cost varies depending on which of these options is chosen:

• Move a single analogue number
• Move a BT Multi-line number or range
• Move a range of less than 10 DDI numbers
• Move a range of more than 10 DDI numbers

A fee is still payable if a porting request fails.

One of our numbers will be used to provision a working account prior to the port and this number will remain on the account (and form the username for the SIP credentials). If the port is successful the ported number will be provisioned as an additional number on the account.

How are calls charged?

Calls from any your VoIP account to any other VoIP users on the VoIP network are classified as ‘on-net’ calls. All on-net calls are free of charge (subject to SIP trunk channels being available). We do not limit the number of on-net calls per account that you can make.

VoIP

We recommend that you always use strong passwords for your accounts and avoid words commonly found in the dictionary or names of people or pets. A random list of alphanumeric characters with mixed case and added punctuation marks is most effective. VoIP

VoIP
It is possible for a PC to become infected by a virus that would attempt to attack a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) PBX on the local LAN. Therefore it is imperative that you keep all PCs updated with virus checking software and other security patches. This also applies to any PCs connected to the local LAN via a VPN connection. It is good practice to separate the phone network from the rest of the LAN through the use of VLAN technology.
